Hi, I'm Ata
I'm Ata, the person behind Divan. I grew up around Persian hospitality, the kind where the host's whole job is making sure nobody's glass ever sits empty. Divan is my way of bringing that feeling, unhurried and generous, straight to your event. I show up myself, set everything up, and stay until the last coal goes out.
Questions, answered
Do you bring everything?
Yes. Hookahs, coals, flavours, the full setup, and an attendant. You provide the space and the guests, we handle the rest.
Indoor or outdoor?
Outdoors or in a well-ventilated open space, always. Burning charcoal produces carbon monoxide, so we never set up in a sealed room. It keeps everyone safe.
Tobacco or herbal?
Your choice. We carry premium tobacco shisha and tobacco-free herbal options, so every guest is covered.
Are you insured?
Yes, fully insured. If your venue needs a certificate of insurance, just ask and we'll provide one.
How far do you travel?
Burlington, Oakville, Milton, Hamilton and the surrounding area are our core. We'll go further for the right event with a small travel fee.
Will it make my place smell?
Set up outdoors, the aroma is pleasant and clears quickly. It doesn't soak into furniture the way indoor smoking does.
How far ahead should I book?
As early as you can, especially for summer dates and weddings. Weekend dates fill fast, so the sooner you reach out, the better.
Deposit and cancellation?
A deposit holds your date, with the balance due before the event. Ask us for the current cancellation terms when you book.

A little further out? Ask us. We travel for the right event, with a small travel fee beyond our core area.
